On Thursday 19 October 2023 I was back to Rock Citybin Nottingham. The venue has started to become my second home recently and has helped me make the decision to concentrate mostly on Concert Photography instead of sports. The venue is well worth a visit and has a long history with great staff and some brilliant acts.
Last Thursday I photographed the Rock Band Skindred andvtgeurvsupportvacts Black Gold and Cody Frost. All the acts were brilliant.
The evening kicked off with the young Cody Frost who first hit the line lightning the Voice. Cody immediately got the eager crowd warmed up and her set was exciting and engaging throughout. She was exciting to photograph too, dynamic, edgy and engaged with us snapper in the pit. I'm sure she is an act to watch and she certainly has a bright future ahead of her.

Next up was me masked band Black Gold who ramped up the sound with their heavy and unique act. I wasn't sure if I'd be into this act but I have to say they were superb.

The headline act Skindred are huge at the moment and have played all the big rock festivals as well as appearing on National TV shows recently. Rock City was sold out for this Welsh act and I can see why. Their performance was one of the most exciting I've seen to date and they had the crowd going form the second they hit the stage. Frontman Benji Webbe from Wales commanded the stage and his voice was briliant.
